'Tis the Season - Already?

I had a particularly difficult week this past week - too many things to do and precious little time to get anything done. On Thursday I was talking to my sister and she asked if I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I told her that it was too early to think about it and I'd get back to her.

Then she told me Thanksgiving was in two weeks. And then she told me I was a moron.

For some reason, I was thinking we were still somewhere in early to mid-October. That's what I get for overworking myself.

After freaking out that I have only two weeks to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner, I freaked out again when I realized two weeks until Thanksgiving means two weeks until hard-core Christmas shopping starts. So I set to work, giving the puppytoes.net store a Holiday makeover.

We've got a bunch of holiday items in our Holiday Headquarters, but my favorite are still the Poker Chip Christmas tree ornaments. They're designed to look like a poker chip, with fun stuff like "Ho Ho Hold'em", or "Santa's Casino" printed in the middle. And of course they come in different "denominations", like 100, 500, or 1000 - just like regular poker chips. Of course they're larger than real poker chips, measuring 2 7/8" in diameter, but they'd still be a fun addition to any poker-themed Christmas tree - or any tree, for that matter!

I was also able to squeak in some new Christmas Card designs like our "Holiday Lights" and "Schnauzer Christmas" cards - right along with our best sellers from last year - the jaunty King card with a Santa hat and the pretty Christmas Swirl cards. Personally, I'll be sending the "Schnauzer Christmas" cards this year, if I ever find a free hour to sit down and write them all out.
