It's been a long week.

I finally got my whole hair situation fixed - as I originally guessed, my stylist wasn't in the salon Friday, so I had to wait until Saturday to get my cut fixed. I wasn't too happy about driving the 25 miles to the salon at 5PM on a Saturday, and I also wasn't too happy that she didn't wet my hair to finish the cut. She ran a straight iron through it then trimmed it up. It's passable, I guess, but the whole thing has made me start to look for a new salon.

I guess there's drawbacks of living in East Jebip like we do - there's no respectable salons anywhere in a 20 mile radius! Dave doesn't understand why I "just don't go down to Holiday Hair or Supercuts in town and get it done." Um, no. I guess in addition to being a hair product whore, I'm a salon snob. Sorry, color gets put on with a brush, not a bottle, and I'm not subjecting my hair to a kid fresh out of cosmetology school in a walk-in type salon. I'll have to come up with something fast, since my red will have to be retouched in a couple of weeks.

Otherwise, things are winding down from an insanely hectic week. Last Friday we hosted a small poker game - small as in a $10 game instead of our regular monthly $60 game. I spent most of last week frantically cleaning the house, shopping, cooking, and baking. We had a great time - I almost won -I ended up second, which was ok since I won the small game we played the week before.

Actually the next couple of weekends will be taken up by poker. In addition to the two small games we played the last two weekends, we're playing our regular $60 game this weekend, another tournament at the American Legion next weekend, and another small game the following weekend! We're maniacs, but it's all fun. At least I'm still in the black.

After poker Friday night, I had absolutely no time to wind down since the whole family was coming over for Easter dinner. So I spent my Saturday cleaning, cooking, and baking again. It wouldn't be so bad, but I get seriously ticked off when I make holiday dinners - Dave always falls asleep afterwards, leaving me to visit with the family. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love to sit and gab with everyone, but he wasn't the one working his ass off the last couple of days getting ready for this whole shindig! I was thoroughly exhausted and wanted nothing other than to curl up on the sofa and sleep, too. Nope. It wouldn't be so bad, but it's every fucking holiday! I usually get about 3 hours of sleep the night before we have people over for a holiday dinner, and I'm up first thing in the morning getting a turkey, ham, or other meat type food in the oven so we don't end up eating at 10PM. He's tired, my ass.

Even though I took Monday off from work, I'm still tired. I'll be lucky if I can stay awake for poker this weekend.

I would love a nice, long, tropical vacation right about now.
