If I even move, he's up with the ball still in his mouth, wiggling his tail, waiting for me to try to get it. He's already even fallen asleep with the ball in his mouth. Forget any other toys, dude wants a squeaky ball pit for Christmas.

Here he is on his perch in the truck - we pad the top of the center console with a towel and he sits right on top. He's got a good view of everything going on from up there. It's only on rare occasions when he's dead tired that we actually fold down the seat so he can lay down.

Cragar is the main instigator - he'll bark and growl at any animal that dares to move in his presence. But Vizio is becoming much more bold and fighting back - especially when he's in his "Mommy's" lap. Soon I'm going to lock them both in a room and let them work it out on their own.

We went to Knobles, an amusement park here in PA. They have nice, wooded campgrounds and the weather was just perfect.

In the amusement park they allow dogs on the train ride, so our friends took their Rottweiler and Miniature Yorkie, and we took Cragar and went for a nice ride. I thought at first Cragar would be a little freaked about it, but it turns out he liked it as much as he likes car rides. Maybe even more since he didn't have to beg to stick his head out the window.

We left the park yesterday, and I think Cragar slept the whole way home and pretty much all of last night. Having fun is so exhausting!

For Cragar's birthday this year we took him to the local park. Just saying the word, "Park" sends him into a fit of squealing, panting, and spinning around, so needless to say he was happy to go.

We came across an empty roller hockey rink that was all enclosed, so we went in, closed the door, left Cragar off his leash, and let him run like a maniac until his little puppy heart was content.

Happy birthday, little guy!

Dog Days of Summer

The Dog Days of Summer are definitely here. We were only outside playing for about 10 minutes before Cragar slowed down to take a breather. This particular day hit about 95 degrees, but we waited to go play until early evening when it was about 10 degrees cooler. Of course, it doesn't help that he's tremendously wooly right now - we're taking him on his first camping trip in a couple of weeks and we're holding out on getting him a haircut until right before we go.
